Khairuddin ready for action after summer break

17/08/2012

AirAsia-SIC-Ajo Team´s Malaysian rider Zulfahmi Khairuddin has charged his batteries for the second half of the Moto 3 season.
Khairuddin has relaxed and trained during the summer break in his home country from where he travelled for this weekend´s GP-place, here to legendary Indianapolis circuit in North America.
– The summer was really needed after the first nine GPs. Now I am full of energy and ready for the new challenges.
Khairuddin, treat who has done remarkable things for his home country´s Road Racing history during the season, prescription is sixth in championship standing. At his best he has been fourth in Estoril and qualified second in Barcelona.
– I know I have all the possibilities to reach the first podium place of my career. That is a goal of course but I don´t take too much pressure out of it. The most important thing is still to continue good work and that way to do development, Khairuddin plans.
Team leader Aki Ajo knows and feels that it´s only a matter of time when Fahmi will be in top three. The perfect day may come anytime anywhere.
– His pace is in that level and also Fahmi has gained experience during the season of how to ride in the leading group.
Latest´s forecasts indicate that it will be a sunny and warm weekend in Indianapolis.
– Steady weather circumstances are always welcome and especially to Indy, which is quite different from all the other circuits. This circuit most likely is not the one most riders prefer, considers Ajo.
Indianapolis has been part of the MotoGP-series since 2008. At the moment they have contract until 2014. The circuit, which got a new tarmac coverage last year, is 4216 meters long.
