“We knew it would be difficult to have a good race after the way the qualifying session went, with us starting from 26th on the grid. Also, I’m not feeling quite right. From the warmup onwards I felt a lack of energy after just a couple of laps, so the whole race was very hard. After just four laps, my energy was sapped. I gave it my best. It was not the result we wanted before starting the weekend, because we knew we could be stronger, but the way things went, a point isn’t a bad return. I am confident that we can improve.”

“It was a great race with a nice battle at the end. I lost many positions on the opening laps and I had to push a lot to keep up. Then I stuck behind the large group. On the last lap I thought that it was my moment and, step by step, I crept up into the top positions. I went from being far back to fifth. On the last corner of the last lap I made a good start, but Oliveira pushed me a little onto grass and I think that was where I lost the podium. I think I would have had the opportunity to take advantage of multiple slipstreams. Anyway, it was a great race and I’m very happy.”
