This Tuesday, Husqvarna Moto3 World Championship riders, Danny Kent and Niklas Ajo, returned to the scene of the last Grand Prix –Mugello– for a day of testing. Each of the riders followed a different working strategy, looking to improve according to their individual needs. The findings were positive for both, and they are now even more prepared to face the next round on the calendar.

Danny Kent started today with a clean slate today. The Red Bull Husqvarna Ajo rider dedicated the four sessions allotted to the lower cylinder class to try out a completely new setting to the used at the weekend. The positive change showed on the timesheet, as he went 0.6s faster than in qualifying.

Niklas Ajo continued with the setup for his Husqvarna that gave such good results over the three days of the Grand Prix. The Avant Tecno Husqvarna Ajo rider tested out different tyres and new aerodynamics.

The duo will be able to assess their improvements at the next round of the series, when the Catalan Grand Prix takes place from June 13th-15th.

“I am pleased that we have been able to stay to test. We have made many changes to the bike, and have tried a setup that we had not used throughout the year and which has helped me a little. It allowed me to go 0.6 seconds faster than we did in the qualifying practice last weekend, so it’s a good step forward. I’m happy with the progress we have made today and I hope we can continue progressing at Barcelona.”

“We had a very good test today. We were very consistent all day and I was able to evaluate different tyres –which went well– and also some aerodynamic tests. There were also some changes with the geometry, but in the end we returned to the initial configuration from the weekend because it worked so well. I felt very good riding today and improved at several points of the circuit compared to the weekend. I am very happy with this test and we will have to work very hard at Montmelo to reach the same level we are at now. We should not get carried away after a good result.”
