After an excellent weekend in which he was fast in both wet and dry conditions, buy pharm Johann Zarco concluded his visit to Austin with second place last Sunday. It was his first podium of the season, and did justice to the great start to the year that the Frenchman and his Ajo Motorsport team have made. Happy with this first rostrum, Zarco is hoping to be back on the podium this weekend at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit in Argentina.

Thanks to an eighth place in Qatar and second in the United States, Johann Zarco is experiencing his best start to a season since debuting in the World Championship in 2009. Last year in Argentina, he had a bittersweet weekend; second fastest in the qualifying session, on raceday he placed outside the points in eighteenth. This year the situation is different and victory is his target.

The Moto2 race this weekend will be held two hours later than usual, at 2:20pm local time.

 Johann Zarco,
“I am happy to return to Argentina, because it will be only the second time we have ridden at this circuit and the last year I liked it. The Termas de Rio Hondo circuit  has some very fast corners. Last year I felt great; I was unlucky in the race, but my performance over the rest of the weekend was very good. Now, with a new team and the complete confidence I have in them, I think we can fight for the victory. I hope we can enjoy riding, whatever the conditions, and that we can be on top.”
