Eight podium finishes from nine Grands Prix this season have been key to Johann Zarco reaching the figure of 25 podiums in the World Championship. In his seventh season at the elite level of competition, the Ajo Motorsport rider is on track to match his best year so far –the 2011 campaign in which he managed 11 podiums in 125cc, in his previous collaboration with the Finnish structure. Of the 25 podiums, 19 have come when competing for Ajo Motorsport.

4 wins –1 in 125cc and 3 in Moto2–, 10 second places –6 in 125cc and 4 in Moto2–, plus 11 third places –4 in 125cc and 7 in Moto2–  make up this quarter century of podium finishes from 111 Grands Prix. Zarco’s first rostrum came on April 3rd, 2011, with third at the Spanish GP, and he followed it up with his first victory in Japan that same year.

So far this year, the Frenchman has already set a new personal record for wins in a single campaign, and these 3 wins have contributed to his streak of 8 consecutive podiums. In three weeks’s time in Indianapolis, the Ajo Motorsport rider will have the opportunity to take podium number 26.
