After a two-month winter break, viagra the reigning Moto2 World Champion, Johann Zarco, was back onboard his Kalex on Thursday and Friday of this week. The Ajo Motorsport rider undertook two days of testing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, as he continued to adapt to the new bike he will ride in 2016. Rainy conditions on Thursday and strong gusts of wind throughout the test at Spanish track did not prevent Zarco from drawing some positive conclusions.

Zarco was able to complete some 132 laps in the first two days of testing for the year. On the first day, rain ended the action on track at midday, whilst on Friday the Frenchman rode for five hours in an intensive plan designed to give him confidence with the 2016 Kalex. Work was primarily focused on setups with a hard tyre and trying out new WP suspensions.

The Ajo Motorsport team travel to Jerez for a second two-day test, which takes place on Sunday and Monday.

Johann Zarco,
“These two days of testing at Valencia have gone very well. Firstly, I was very happy to see my team again and sense the atmosphere of wanting to work hard. Things went well for us from Thursday, as we were able to test things with different aspects of this new bike. From a technical point of view, these days are very important for analysing my weaknesses from last year and working on them. The team told me that I had a good pace and the work has been positive. Today we worked for longer, without stopping, and also set a good lap time. We end the first days of testing with a smile, as it seems that everything is working well and we are on the right track. We will continue to work relentlessly, which is the most important thing at this time of the season.”

Aki Ajo,
“I am pleased that Johann [Zarco] has come back so focused again, and is doing such a consistent job.  We rode with this bike at the end of last year, but over these two days in Valencia we have tried out some new parts too, and also the new WP suspensions for the first time. With all these new parts, on the second day we set some very good lap times. These two days should really have only been for shaking off the cobwebs, but it seems that we are already at a good level. So we are very pleased to continue testing in Jerez with this situation.”
