Red Bull KTM Ajo: Moto2 Team World Champions

Results for Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder during 2018 have given the structure their first team honours in Moto2.

Red Bull KTM Ajo rounded off the 2018 season by becoming Moto2 Team World Champions at Valencia. With a total of 498 points, Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder added the collective honour to their runner-up and third place finishes in the riders World Championship.

The pair arrived at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit with a clear objective of sealing the team title, and a win for Oliveira allowed them to do so in style. Overall, the pairing of the Portuguese and Binder claimed a total of six victories -in Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Aragon, Australia and Valencia- and a total of 15 podiums; with 5 second places and 4 third places. These results provided the Red Bull KTM Ajo team with 498 points for 2018.

Finishing second and third, respectively, in the Moto2 World Championship, the duo also set two fastest laps and one pole position -at the Aragon Grand Prix.

This is an important title because it was only the Red Bull KTM Ajo team’s second season in the Moto2 class. Also, this season Miguel Oliveira was able to fight for the title right up until the penultimate race.
