Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 travel to the United States this week for the Grand Prix of The Americas.

Brad Binder and Jorge Martin head to Austin this week to contest the only United States round of the season: the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas. The Red Bull KTM Ajo riders will look for being at their best at the demanding track, the Circuit of The Americas, which hosts the third Moto2 race of the 2019 campaign.

The South African finished in sixth place at the Argentina GP a fortnight ago, claiming some important World Championship points. Now Brad Binder goes to a track that he likes, the COTA, with the aim of taking another step forward. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider has already been on the rostrum Stateside, finishing third there in 2016 -on route to being crowned Moto3 World Champion.

His teammate, Jorge Martin, also has good memories of the Circuit of The Americas. Last year, he won the Moto3 race from pole and in 2017 he claimed second position. The Spaniard rider is motivated to make amends for a crash in Argentina, when he was fighting to get into the Top 10 and pick up points.

The 18-lap intermediate class race will take place on Sunday, April 14th at 12:20pm local time. Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team also have previous podium experience in Austin from his third place in 2018.

“I can’t wait to race at the Circuit of The Americas, since it’s a track that I like a lot and I always enjoy riding there. Last year didn’t go as we had expected, but I am sure that this weekend we will be able to take a step forward and we will work hard for a good result at the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas.”

88 JORGE MARTIN

“I’m looking forward to the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas. I’ve been working hard over the past few days in order to get into the best possible shape. Now that I have no discomfort in my arm, I’m ready to have a great race. I’ve never ridden in Austin with a Moto2 bike, so we’ll have to see how we adapt. We have to keep working. I hope to be able to enter the points and keep making progress.”
