The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 rider looks forward to the French Grand Prix, the fifth round of the World Championship.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 team and their rider Can Öncü travel to the legendary Le Mans Circuit, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, since it hosted the French Grand Prix for the first time. After a positive test last week at the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit, the young Turkish rider is highly motivated for the fifth round of the season.
Can Öncü had a solid race at the Red Bull Grand Prix of Spain, making up eight places. Now the 15 year-old rookie heads for a circuit which he knows from last season in the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship. His aim this weekend will be to gather further experience, as he seeks to maintain his progress.
The 22-lap French Grand Prix will take place on Sunday at 11 am (local time). The Red Bull KTM Ajo have previous Moto3 podiums at the Le Mans Circuit, the team registered two victories in 2016 and 2014, with Brad Binder and Jack Miller, respectively, and a third place with Luis Salom in 2013.

“I’m really looking forward to arriving to Le Mans and getting back on the bike, as we left the Jerez test with a good feeling. At the Red Bull Grand Prix of Spain we took a step forward and I hope to continue improving in France. I feel well prepared and I will give 100% to be higher up in terms of results. It will be important to get a good position for the starting grid on Sunday. However, the main objectives for this GP are to continue progressing and to gain new knowledge.”
