The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider will take part in his first eSports race this weekend, at the Virtual British Grand Prix.

Tetsuta Nagashima will represent Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team in the Virtual British GP this Sunday, making his debut in online competition. The winner of the Qatar Grand Prix in March is now looking to transfer his success on track to the world of eSports. The Japanese rider is approaching the MotoGP20 videogame contest as if it were a race, in which he will give one hundred percent in search of a good final position.

The Moto2 Virtual British Grand Prix contest will take place over a total of 6 laps, in which Nagashima will have to face 9 other riders from the intermediate class. After the Top 5 finish achieved by his teammate Jorge Martin in the first virtual contest, he will fight to continue Red Bull KTM Ajo’s strong form.

The whole show can be followed on the MotoGP website and YouTube channel on Sunday at 3 pm CEST.

“I think it’s great that virtual races are being held. Without a doubt it is a very positive thing for MotoGP fans and also for us the riders, since it forces us to be focused and, in a way, it helps us to train and remain mentally active.
I have played the MotoGP videogame before, but I’m a father, which means I can’t spend a lot of hours on PlayStation. However, I’m going to do my best in the Virtual British Grand Prix and, as always, my goal is to be able to fight for victory.”
