After the double podium from Nagashima and Martin last weekend, the duo face the third round of the World Championship highly motivated.

Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 return to the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit this week, just days after achieving a double podium there at the Spanish GP through Tetsuta Nagashima – second – and Jorge Martin – third. After their great performance, the duo reach the third round of the season leading the Teams World Championship, and with Nagashima as the top rider. Both are motivated to continue fighting for good results this weekend.

Nagashima has claimed two consecutive podiums from the opening rounds of the year, including a victory at the Qatar Grand Prix. The Japanese has been working with his crew to prepare for the Andalucia GP, with the aim of keeping up his rostrum run. The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider has a 17-point advantage over his nearest rival.

After achieving 3rd position in the second round of the season, Martin has continued to prepare and train hard on the short break before the Andalucia Grand Prix. The Spaniard and his team will try to continue with the good work shown last time out and take further steps forward. The 22-year-old is in seventh position in the Moto2 standings.

The 23-lap Moto2 Andalucia Grand Prix takes place on Sunday at 12:20 pm local time.

“Our objective is to keep working in the same way as last week. I have tried to adapt to the heat and train cycling to be prepared for this second race at Jerez. We must continue pushing hard, since we still have to improve some aspects, but we know what these points are and the way that we have to go. We will do our best to fight at the front again.”

“I am motivated to return to Jerez, where less than a week ago we achieved a good result. This weekend we will continue to work hard to stay amongst the top positions. Our goal is to be able to fight for victory at the Andalucia Grand Prix. We are going to give our 100% to do that.”
