Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 begin to prepare for the 2023 season with a private test.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 riders undertook a private test at the Jerez – Angel Nieto Circuit this past weekend. Deniz Öncü had a very productive time to begin a new stage in his Moto3 career. Jose Antonio Rueda worked for three days to adapt to the class and prepare for his first season in the World Championship.

Deniz Öncü put in an intense day of work, completing a total of 69 laps in the Spanish track. The Turkish rider improved steadily and finished his first test with Red Bull KTM Ajo with a very positive feeling. Rueda, meanwhile, worked to adapt to his new team and the bike. With 165 laps completed, the Spaniard was highly satisfied with the work done satisfied with the work despite having finished earlier than expected due to the track conditions.

Both Öncü and Rueda will next test at the Spanish circuit on March 9th and 10th.

Aki Ajo – Team Manager

“This test was very important for us because both Moto3 riders are new for next season. They both worked with the team and things went very well, and this was the most important thing because we have less testing days for next year. Deniz has only ridden on one day, but he found a good understanding with the team and had a good performance. Jose Antonio had three days to work as he is a rookie, and it was his first time working with the KTM. He has maintained a good level and we are satisfied with the result of these days.”

#53 DENIZ ÖNCÜ

“We’ve finished the first day of work with the bike and with the team. It’s been a very good day because we got a good starting point with the setup. I improved throughout the day and the feeling has been good. I’m happy to be returning to the team and for us to be able to compete together in 2023.”

#99 JOSE ANTONIO RUEDA

“These three days of testing have gone very well. We have been improving a little more every day and feeling better on the bike. I want to thank the team because I felt very comfortable working together with them and I have been able to learn a lot in these first days. It is a pity that on the last day we have not been able to continue a little more but I am very happy and looking forward to starting 2023.”
