04/08/2023

As the world’s largest private e-scooter subscription service, Augment is renowned for its high-performance e-scooters and support for performance sports.

Today, they revealed a significant partnership with Ajo Motorsport, a team celebrated for its success in the thrilling Moto2 and Moto3 racing categories of the motorcycle World Championship MotoGP -series. The partnership not only involves sponsoring these exciting classes, but also provides a unique opportunity for Augment to learn from and adapt Ajo Motorsport’s world class repair and maintenance processes.

The Team run by Aki Ajo has an exceptional track record of success in Moto2 and Moto3 classes, with many of its past riders progressing to the premier class of MotoGP. The team’s extensive tuning and service expertise will be used to enhance the Augment e-scooter riding experience and improve service efficiency.

“This partnership with Ajo Motorsport underscores our commitment to providing world-class e-scooters and refining our service processes,” said Jani Pirttinen, Vice President, Sports, of Augment. “In addition, our sponsorship of the exciting World Championship Moto2 and Moto3 classes increases our visibility in key markets and aligns with our commitment to sustainable mobility as these classes transition to greener fuels.”

“There is surprisingly lot of synergies with our companies, in the technical know-how and service aspects of the processes for example, and of course both of our companies are international companies with origins in Finland, so we share a lot of same basic approach to working and business.” stated Ajo Motorsport’s managing director Aki Ajo.

MotoGP enjoys great popularity worldwide, and especially in key Augment markets such as France, Spain and Italy. In addition, also has a wide exposure in public televisions in countries such as Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and the UK.

The Championship is going green because of worries about the environment and MotoGP has announced it will introduce part-sustainable fuels from 2024, with the aim of the World Championship using fully sustainable solutions from the 2027 season. This matches well with Augment and Ajo Motorsport’s goal to help people move around in ways that are good for the planet.
