The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider fractured his left collarbone on Tuesday.

Celestino Vietti underwent successful surgery this Thursday to treat a fracture to his left collarbone. The Italian suffered the injury on Tuesday afternoon, in the final session of the test at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto. After an initial evaluation at the circuit, he was taken to hospital in Jerez where the fracture was confirmed.

After traveling to Italy, Vietti underwent the operation at the Ospedale di Sassuolo. Carrying out the procedure was Professor Giuseppe Porcellini. From this moment on, Vietti will undergo a recovery process to return to fitness.
