Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 faces French GP with strong expectations

08/05/2024

Jose Antonio Rueda and Xabi Zurutuza are already in Le Mans to prepare for the next Grand Prix.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 duo move on to the historic Le Mans circuit this week, with Jose Antonio Rueda returning to action after missing the last two races through illness. Xabi Zurutuza will have to learn a new circuit, and is looking to pick up further points for his tally.

Rueda has now recovered from the intestinal infection that prevented him from competing in the Spanish Grand Prix, although he will have to undergo a medical check on Thursday before being allowed to compete in the first sessions of the French Grand Prix. Rueda had a good feeling at Le Mans last year, where he adapted easily from the get-go and finished the race in the Top 10. With 20 points, the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider occupies thirteenth position in the standings.

Zurutuza faces an unfamiliar circuit this weekend. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider worked intensely in the test after the Spanish Grand Prix to accelerate his adaptation to the bike and the class. He is confident that he will be able to feel good again after suffering during the race in Jerez. With 3 points he is 21st in the Moto3 standings.

Red Bull KTM Ajo are eighth in the Teams standings with 25 points. The 20-lap Moto3 race will begin at 11am on Sunday, May 12th.
