The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 riders go to the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya for the last round of the year.

Celestino Vietti and Deniz Öncü are ready to close the 2024 season at the Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona. The Italian rider is coming off his third win of the year in Malaysia, while Öncü still has a chance of being Rookie of the Year.

Vietti is fully focused on completing his last race with Red Bull KTM Ajo. The Italian rider has had an intense season, in which injuries hindered him at times. However, he has managed to recover and take three wins, the last of which was at the Malaysian Grand Prix. Vietti will fight to be among the fastest in the season finale, and with 165 points, he is in seventh place overall.

Deniz Öncü is about to end his first season in the intermediate class. The Turkish rider has made progress throughout the year and has worked hard to get the best feeling with his bike. At the last Grand Prix he finished in the Top10 once more, and remains in the fight to be crowned best Moto2 rookie. He currently occupies 20th position, with 49 points.

Red Bull KTM Ajo are sixth in the Team standings with 214 points. The intermediate class race will be held this Sunday, November 17th, at 12:15 pm local time.

#13 CELESTINO VIETTI
“I have a very good feeling about the final race of the season, although our thoughts will also be with all those affected by what happened in Valencia. It will be strange not to race there, but Barcelona is also a circuit I like. We were competitive there earlier this year, although we had a bit of bad luck too. I think we can do well, and even more so after the last victory. I hope we have good track conditions; we will see how far we can go over the weekend.”

#53 DENIZ ÖNCÜ
“We are ready for the last GP of the year, but first of all I want to say that I am very sad about what happened in Spain, especially in Valencia, two weeks ago, so I send my love and support to everyone there. This weekend we are racing for them. I just want to finish the year with the best possible results and I will do everything possible to achieve that. I want to thank the whole team for the work they have done this season and for making my adaptation to Moto2 easier. It is going to be a great weekend, we will enjoy it and have the best time possible.”
