Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 ready for season opener in Thailand

26/02/2025

Jose Antonio Rueda and Alvaro Carpe arrive at the Chang International Circuit to begin 2025, after a great preseason.

The 2025 kicks off this weekend at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand, which hosts a season opener for the first time in history. Red Bull KTM Ajo riders Jose Antonio Rueda and Alvaro Carpe start the 22-race campaign positive off the back of a positive preseason.

Rueda made a statement this past week by setting the fastest time in testing at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. He was the dominant force at the official test, clocking a new circuit record in the process. His target for the weekend will be to fight at the front in Thailand, on what will be his third visit to Buriram. Previous races at the Asian circuit have seen Rueda place 16th on both occasions.

Alvaro Carpe debuts for Red Bull KTM Ajo in Moto3, on a weekend full of new experiences. The Chang International Circuit is one of four consecutive venues at the start of the season where he will be having his first contact. Last year’s FIM JuniorGP and Red Bull Rookies Cup winner approaches the challenge with confidence, following a great preseason. He was the fastest rookie of the IRTA Test at Jerez and, like his teammate, also showed his pace by lowering the previous circuit record.

With a 5th place as a best result achieved by Deniz Öncü in 2023, Red Bull KTM Ajo are chasing a first podium finish in Buriram in the Moto3 class.

It is clear that we are in good form and with a very good feeling, but we have to prove what we can do on the track from Friday onwards. We are ready and very motivated to start the year in the best possible way.”

The feeling so far has been very positive and we are very happy with the progress we have made over these recent months. We are ready for whatever comes and eager to enjoy it to the fullest.”
