Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 aim to repeat 2024 results at MotorLand
04/06/2025Rueda and Carpe face their second home Grand Prix of the season, at a track where both achieved great results last year.
Jose Antonio Rueda and Alvaro Carpe come into the Aragon Grand Prix with morale at a high. The round will be their second home race of four in 2025, and they are looking to extend their excellent form at a track that holds many good memories for them: Rueda achieved his first victory as a Moto3 rider at MotorLand last year, and Carpe clinched JuniorGP and Red Bull Rookies Cup wins before being crowned champion of both series.
Rueda has a near-perfect podium record this season, and the current leader of the Moto3 class arrives at MotorLand with great confidence after an incredible showing two weeks ago at Silverstone. The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 rider, who earned his second Pole Position of the season at the #BritishGP, had to start from last on the grid due to a penalty, but was able to overtake 25 rivals to claim his fifth victory of 2025. On a run of three consecutive wins, Rueda comes to a track where he took his maiden triumph in Moto3 in 2024. Top of the standings with 141 points out of a possible 175, Rueda leads his closest rival, Angel Piqueras, by 54 points.
Carpe is looking to score his second podium of the season, at another circuit he knows very well. After two fourth places at Le Mans and Silverstone, the series’ top rookie wants to take a step forward and get back onto the rostrum. MotorLand is a track that suits the Spanish rider well: Last year he took Pole Position there in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, in addition to winning one of the two races held, and also won the penultimate round of the Junior GP series. Carpe is fourth in the Moto3 World Championship standings with 69 points.
Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 are also top of the Team standings, and will aim to maintain their advantage at MotorLand. In the category, the team have achieved a victory and three podium finishes there in addition to Rueda’s victory last year: Miguel Oliveira (P1 in 2016), Brad Binder (P2 in 2016), Raul Fernandez (P3 in 2020) and Dani Holgado (P3 in 2022). The #AragonGP action will begin on Friday at 9:00 a.m. (local time) with the first Moto3 Free Practice session. The 17-lap race will take place on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

#99 JOSE ANTONIO RUEDA
“We’re off to MotorLand, where I’ve always achieved positive results and where I have very fond memories. We’re not going to prepare anything differently; we’ll continue working in the same way as we have so far and continue enjoying the journey. We’ll have to cope as best we can with the heat we will likely encounter throughout the weekend, and enjoy the support of the fans, who I’m sure will inspire us as always. I’m looking forward to getting the #AragonGP underway.”#83 ALVARO CARPE
“We’re starting again at another home track for us, something that really motivates us to do well over the three days. I’m really looking forward to getting started because MotorLand it’s a track I’ve done well at and that’s very well suited to my riding style. Last year I got two wins out of a possible three in Aragon, and I think with the work we’re doing, great things can come our way. We have to stay focused on ourselves, and I’m sure that everything will come through.”
