The Netherlands to host final double-header before the summer break

24/06/2026

Carpe and Uriarte head to the tenth round of the season in top form after a great weekend in the Czech Republic.

Alvaro Carpe and Brian Uriarte travel to the Circuit TT Assen to complete the final double-header before the summer break begins, as the tenth round of the Moto3 World Championship sees the Red Bull KTM Ajo riders take part in the Dutch TT. The team are on a run of four consecutive podium finishes -including Uriarte’s second place in the Czech Republic Grand Prix last weekend.

Carpe finds himself in excellent form. After three consecutive podium finishes in Catalonia, Italy, and Hungary, he went on to have one of his most complete weekends of the season at Brno, leading one session, starting from third place, and consistently being among the top riders in the remaining sessions. However, a small mistake on the penultimate lap of the race itself prevented him from fighting for a podium finish, as he came home in sixth place. At last year’s Dutch TT he claimed second place on the grid, and finished fourth in the race after a very competitive showing throughout. He also achieved second place finishes at Assen in 2023 and 2024 in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. The Spaniard remains second in the Moto3 World Championship with 121 points.

Uriarte moves on to Assen brimming with confidence. After stringing together four Top 4 finishes, including a win and a second place, he has demonstrated a complete adaptation to the class, despite competing on unfamiliar circuits. Brno was one such track, and the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider missed out on victory by just 4 tenths of a second. The outright leader of the Rookie of the Year ranking and third in the overall standings with 92 points, the Spaniard visits the Netherlands with prior experience there: In his first season in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, he won his first race and placed fourth in his second.

With one victory and six podium finishes, Red Bull KTM Ajo remain in second place in the Team standings with 213 points. They won last year’s Dutch TT through Jose Antonio Rueda, with another victory for Miguel Oliveira in 2015 and a third-place finish with Deniz Öncü in 2023.

The Dutch TT action kicks off this Friday at 9 a.m. (local time) with Moto3 Free Practice 1. The Moto3 race, consisting of 20 laps, will take place on Sunday.

#83 ALVARO CARPE

“Even though the final race result wasn’t the best, we’re coming off a very good weekend in Brno, and that gives us a lot of confidence to repeat that performance in the Netherlands. I think we’ve taken a step forward in terms of our work methodology during the three days of a Grand Prix, and that will help us on Sundays, where we’ll be better prepared from now on. The Dutch TT is always a special race, and we also have good form there, so we’re going to give it our all and enjoy it to the fullest to finish this double-header well.”

#51 BRIAN URIARTE

“Last week’s podium finish gives us extra motivation for Assen. It seems we’ve finally found our rhythm; we’re enjoying every circuit we visit and, moreover, showing consistency, so we’re going to try to do that again in the Netherlands. I know this circuit from my time in the Rookies Cup, and I have good memories of it, so we’re going to try to get the most out of that. As always, we’ll give it our all and try to work from scratch so we can arrive on Sunday at our best.”
