Danny Kent and Niklas Ajo return to action this weekend at Misano, where they hope to improve positions within the Top 10.

After a busy month of three races in August, the World Championship moves into the last third of the competition for 2014. The Misano World Circuit hosts the 13th round of one of tightest Moto3 seasons in recent years. Danny Kent and Niklas Ajo will attempt to keep up the good feeling from recent rounds and place inside the lead group on Sunday.

Danny Kent, who took 7 points at his home Grand Prix last time out, wants to complete a third consecutive Grand Prix with a positive finish –boosted by a podium at Brno. The Misano circuit is a track well suited to the Red Bull Husqvarna Ajo rider, where in the lower cylinder category he has always started from the second row of the grid. His best result at the venue is sixth place in 2011 in the 125cc class.

Niklas Ajo wants to increase his points tally this weekend. The Avant Tecno Husqvarna Ajo rider wants to take a step forward and achieve his first podium of the season at a favourable circuit for his bike, with hard braking and slow corners. Last year the Finn ascended ten places in the race to finish eleventh.

The action at the San Marino Grand Prix starts this Friday at 9:00am local time with the first free practice for the Moto3 riders. The race takes place on Sunday at 11:00am.

“Misano is a track that I quite like. Last year the asphalt had some bumps on the slow corners, so we will have to be very focused when cornering and especially when exiting the turns. It is a nice track and I’ve always enjoyed riding at the circuit. It has been good to train and prepare well during this past week, and now I want to get back on the Husqvarna and fight in the first group in the race.”

“The track suits us much better than Silverstone. There are many hard braking areas and this is a positive point for the Husqvarna. I think it will be a good weekend for us, because last year we did well: I finished in 11th place after starting from 21st. I hope we do better than at the British Grand Prix. We are very motivated. I will try to give my best throughout the weekend to have the pace to keep up with the leading group, and fight for the top positions.”
