Indonesian Grand Prix starts flyaways for Rueda and Zurutuza
25/09/2024The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 duo will contest the first race of the Asian rounds this weekend.
The Red Bull KTM Ajo riders have travelled to Asia for the Indonesian Grand Prix this weekend, held at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit. They do so after an Emilia Romagna Grand Prix from which positive conclusions could be drawn -despite the fact that the results were not as expected in the race.
Jose Antonio Rueda was not able to fight for the podium at Misano. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider finished in tenth position after battling in a large group, in a race run at a high pace. The Spanish rider wants a better result in Indonesia, where last year he placed fifth. Rueda is currently on 105 points, seventh in the overall standings.
Xabi Zurutuza has his first series of flyaway rounds this year, and the Moto3 rookie faces the final stretch of the calendar with great enthusiasm. The Pertamina Mandalika Circuit presents an unfamiliar venue, where Zurutuza wants to return to the points after placing nineteenth last time out. The Moto3 rookie is in 22nd position overall, with 11 points.
Red Bull KTM Ajo are seventh in the Team standings, with 117 points. The 20-lap Moto3 Indonesian Grand Prix will take place this Sunday, September 29th, at 12:00 pm local time.
