The Ajo MotoE Team returned to the Jerez Circuit – Angel Nieto this Wednesday, to take on a three day test ahead of the inaugural FIM MotoE World Cup season. On day one of the first runout of 2019, Niki Tuuli had a positive feeling adapting to his machine. He was also decked out in the team’s official colours for the first time.

In the afternoon session, shorter at 30 minutes in duration, Tuuli put in another 10 laps and lowered his time from the morning by more than three seconds. The Finn stopped the clock in 1:49.417, achieving the 2nd best time overall.

Tomorrow will see the second day of the Official MotoE Test in Jerez, which will end on Friday.

#66 Niki Tuuli

“This first day has gone very well. After four months off, starting back up is always a bit complicated because you have to get used to the style of riding again. That’s why in the first session I focused on doing as many laps as possible. The last time we were here the conditions were very difficult and we didn’t find the way forward, but today we made great strides -especially in terms of suspension. In the second session I felt much more comfortable on the bike and my riding improved. It has been a good first day and I am looking forward to continuing working tomorrow and on Friday.”
