Heavy crash prevents Niki Tuuli from finishing Race 1 at Misano

The Ajo MotoE Team rider was involved in a multiple rider accident in the first contest of the third round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

This weekend’s visit to Misano ended prematurely for Niki Tuuli after he was involved in a big crash in the first race of the third round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. As a result of the incident, the Finnish youngster suffered a fracture to his left wrist and left femur.

Niki Tuuli, who started from 15th position on the grid, made a great start, making up five positions on the second lap. The Ajo MotoE Team rider was placed in 10th position when he crashed out at turn 8 on lap three, as he was caught up in an incident which involved three other riders. The 24-year-old was taken by helicopter to the hospital, where tests confirmed fractures to the left femur and left wrist.
