The Finnish rider qualifies on the fourth row of the grid for the third round of the 2020 FIM MotoE World Cup season.

The starting grid for the Round 3 of the FIM MotoE World Cup was set today with the E-Pole session, in which Avant Ajo MotoE and Niki Tuuli had a positive showing. The Finnish rider made no mistakes on his hot lap, qualifying on the fourth row for tomorrow’s race. Satisfied with the performance of his electric machine, Tuuli will start in 11th position at Misano.

Niki Tuuli took advantage of the last 30-minute Free Practice to continue gaining confidence with his bike. On the eight laps he rode, the Finnish continued with the same good feeling that both he and the team had on Friday. Little by little, the Avant Ajo MotoE rider lowered his times before clocking a 1:44.700 on his last attempt, finishing in 13th position.

In the afternoon, Niki Tuuli was the sixth competitor to hit the track, following the order established by the combined Free Practice timesheets. The Avant Ajo MotoE rider set a 1:44.697 for 11th on the grid, a spot on the fourth row.

The 7-lap FIM MotoE World Cup race takes place on Sunday at 10:05 am.

“Yesterday my confidence on the bike improved greatly, and today my feeling was quite similar. In E-Pole we didn’t make any mistakes on our lap, which is definitely a positive thing. We more or less matched the time we had set in practice, so we have to continue working to find that extra something that allows us to go faster. The bike is working well, so tomorrow we will try to do our best to complete the weekend with a good race.”
