After two years, the Red Bull Ring will host an electric event, coinciding with the Austrian Grand Prix. The Japanese rider is very motivated and prepared for the final stretch of the season, in which he will target fighting for good results.
To date, Okubo has shown great progress and a solid adaptation to the electric motorcycle racing in his debut year. At the last MotoE round at Assen, the Japanese exhibited his potential in the race by riding alongside the leading group, finishing eighth despite suffering technical issues. Now the Avant Ajo MotoE rider comes to Austria wanting to apply everything learned in the previous contests and continue taking steps forward. Okubo occupies tenth position in the overall standings with 24 points.
The 7-lap FIM MotoE World Cup round takes place on Sunday at 3:30 PM local time.

“I really enjoyed the summer in Japan. I took advantage of my time there to get on the bike and complete various tests, which served as training for me. It was a good way to stay active and it allowed me to try different riding styles, something that will help me when I get back on the MotoE.
I have never been to the Red Bull Ring in Austria, but I have played through the track in videogames to help me memorise the layout. My goal is to be as close to the top positions as possible, as we had good performances at the last few races. I will do my best to achieve this.”
