The procedure was performed by Dr. Xavier Mir at the Dexeus hospital in Barcelona.

Collin Veijer underwent successful surgery on Tuesday morning at the Hospital Universitari Dexeus – Grupo Quirónsalud Group in Barcelona, to treat a left collarbone fracture suffered last weekend at the Red Bull Ring.

The Dutch rider was involved in a crash exiting Turn 6 during the final minutes of Free Practice 1 at the Austrian Grand Prix last Friday, incurring the injury.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider flew to Barcelona last Saturday to prepare for the surgery, which took place at 9:30 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday. The procedure was performed by trauma specialist Dr. Xavier Mir.

With the operation confirmed as successful and Veijer stable following the initial postoperative period, he is set to be discharged in the next hours to fly to the Netherlands, where he will begin his recovery process as quickly as possible. The exact timeframe for his return will be based on his recuperation.
