After fighting back 12 places for thirteenth in the Italian Grand Prix yesterday, to score points for a third consecutive round, Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 rider Darryn Binder stayed in Mugello this Monday for a day of post-race testing. He was satisfied with the data gathered after 40 laps of the track, undertaken before rain brought the test to an end.
The South African was able to take advantage of 2 hours and 20 minutes of track time on Monday, distributed into two sessions. His work was focused on finding consistency and race pace. For that reason he put in long stints, simulating half-races of 10 laps. From a technical point of view, he devoted time to comparing things found at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit test a week ago under different conditions and at a different track.
The team will be back in Barcelona next week, for the Catalan Grand Prix from Friday, June 14th.

“I am happy with the test that we had today at Mugello. Unfortunately, we were only able to complete two sessions, because in the afternoon there was heavy rainfall and we weren’t able to try everything that we wanted, but in general everything went well. This morning it was a bit difficult because the track conditions were not the best; it was somewhat slippery, partly due to the track invasion yesterday. We have worked very hard, we tried many things out and I am satisfied with the test -even though we would have liked to have tried more things. I have a very good feeling and I am already looking forward to going to Barcelona next week.”
