Avant Ajo MotoE and Tuuli return to action at Misano

09/09/2020

The Finnish rider is ready to face a run of three consecutive FIM MotoE World Cup races in two weeks at the San Marino track.

Avant Ajo MotoE will compete in the third round of the FIM MotoE World Cup this week at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The track will host a total of three races for the electric motorcycle series in the space of two weeks: one next Sunday and two next weekend. Niki Tuuli feels prepared for the demands of this challenge, thanks to the hard work that the Finnish rider has put in during the last two months – following an injury to his right wrist suffered at Round 2 of the year.

Niki Tuuli has fond memories of Misano, as in 2015, when competing in Superstock 600, he managed to get on the podium with a second place finish. Targetting a strong result this weekend at the San Marino GP, the Finnish youngster hopes to have the same feeling he had before the injury and improve on the results he obtained at the start of the season.

Round 3 of the MotoE World Cup will kick off with two Free Practice sessions on Friday, followed by FP3 and E-Pole on Saturday. The 7-lap race will be held on Sunday at 10:05 am CEST.

“I feel good. I have been training a lot in order to be able to recover fully, so I am satisfied that I have done everything in my power. I’ve taken part in two FIM CEV races in the last few weeks, so that’s a good sign.
My goal for this weekend is to have fun and to be relaxed. That is when everything will work out well. I will try to enjoy things like I did before, and the rest will come. It is very positive for me that there are so many consecutive contests, because that way I will be able to regain my feeling and improve lap by lap. I’m also happy to be with the team again.”
