The Avant Ajo MotoE rider travels to the legendary Le Mans circuit for a two-race round this weekend.

After the 2022 FIM MotoE World Cup season opener at Jerez a fortnight ago, Avant Ajo MotoE travel to France for Round 2 of the campaign. Le Mans will host two races for the electric series this weekend, coinciding with the French Grand Prix. Hikari Okubo is motivated and ready to fight for a good result.

At Round 1, Okubo enjoyed two strong races, finishing sixth in Race 1 and fifth in Race 2. The Japanese proved to be in good form throughout the weekend, and was consistent and competitive. Now the Avant Ajo MotoE rider arrives at Le Mans with the desire to keep progressing and achieve the maximum number of points possible in the two contests this weekend. Okubo is in sixth place in the overall standings, with 21 points.

The first race of the weekend for the FIM MotoE World Cup will take place on Saturday at 4:25 PM local time, with the second on Sunday at 3:30 PM. Both contests will be held over 8 laps.

“I’m looking forward to this round at Le Mans, as it is a track that I like. Last year, at this same circuit, we were unlucky in the race. However, before that we were riding fast and among the top positions. We will continue to push hard, as we always do, and we will see what we are capable of doing in this new challenge in France.”
