Top 5 for Red Bull KTM Ajo in final Free Practice session in Qatar

24/03/2017

Bo Bendsneyder and Niccolo Antonelli complete Free Practice for Qatar Grand Prix in fourth and fifth position, viagra respectively.

The two Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 riders finished Free Practice for the Qatar Grand Prix on Friday night, improving their lap times and both finishing in the Top 5. Bo Bendsneyder and Niccolo Antonelli were able to make improvements from their Thursday night performances in the solitary Friday session, and finished both fourth and fifth, respectively, for the night and overall.

Bendsneyder again started as one of the fastest riders of the category. He completed the equivalent of race distance on a single set of tyres -over the two nights- and then put on fresh rubber to put in his hot lap of 2:07.162. His pace was strong with both sets of tyres. Antonelli took an important step forward, lowering his time from Thursday by more than half a second to climb into the Top 5 with a 2:07.207 lap.

Tomorrow both riders will try to reflect their good feeling on the bike in qualifying for the first grid of the year, starting at 18.00h local time.

23 NICCOLO ANTONELLI
“Today we have taken another step forward in the only Free Practice session we had, getting only 3 tenths off the top rider and entering the Top 5. The only thing we are missing is being faster on some corners of the circuit where it is important to be quick. It’s not problem that prevents me from riding in a group, but it does affect me keeping up the pace alone. We still have time to improve and we will try to do that. The goal for tomorrow will be to place on one of the front three rows.”

64 BO BENDSNEYDER
“We are quite happy because we have completed the distance equivalent to a race on one set of tyres. We have also done so with a good pace. We then used the new tyre and got a good lap from it, so we are happy with the work we have done in FP3. We will now prepare for Qualifying. Tomorrow we will try to do as well as today, although it is a different scenario. Qualifying is like a lottery, and many people can set a fast lap. We will try to set a very fast lap because this is what you need in that session -you just need one quick lap.”
