Red Bull KTM Ajo prepared for important Grand Prix in the Netherlands
24/06/2026Veijer approaches his home race with optimism and enthusiasm, while Rueda will look to continue his upward trajectory from recent weeks.
Red Bull KTM Ajo face the second part of the European double-header with high ambitions, as they travel to Assen for the Dutch TT. For Collin Veijer, this will be his home round, riding alongside his ever-improving teammate Jose Antonio Rueda.
Veijer arrives back in the Netherlands off a consistent weekend in the Czech Republic. The Dutchman finished eleventh in the race at Brno, capping off a weekend of improvement that gives him extra confidence for his home race. At last year’s Dutch TT, he secured a valuable point in his rookie season in the intermediate class, with a trademark overtake on the final chicane. As a Moto3 rider, he finished seventh at Assen in his debut year and second -from second on the grid- the following season. Currently on 41.5 points, Veijer is eleventh in the overall standings.
Rueda has scored points in four consecutive races, the most recent of which saw him reach the Top 10 for the first time as a Moto2 rider. His strong adaptation hasn’t been limited to Sundays, but rather has been evident throughout, as he has secured two consecutive direct spots in Q2. Increasingly further ahead in the Rookie of the Year ranking, Rueda aims to perform well in the Netherlands, where he took the Moto3 victory last year after a hard-fought race. Currently, he is 16th in the overall standings with 19 points.
In the last ten editions of the Dutch TT, Red Bull KTM Ajo have achieved three victories, courtesy of Johann Zarco (2015), Raul Fernandez (2021), and Augusto Fernandez (2022). In addition, they have second places from Zarco (2016), Brad Binder (2019), and Remy Gardner (2021), and a third place for Pedro Acosta (2023).
The intermediate class riders will take to the track for the first time at Assen this coming Friday at 9:50 a.m. (local time) for Free Practice 1. On Sunday, both will compete in the tenth race of the season at 12:15 p.m.

#95 COLLIN VEIJER
“Last week we made some positive improvements at Brno, and this is very important for us before facing our home round. Visiting Assen is always special for a Dutch rider, and we managed to have some good races there in the past, so we’re going to try it again this time. Last year was not easy in my Moto2 rookie season, but we took a point at the end of the race. We will try to build on this and keep working day by day to arrive on Sunday well prepared. I will try to enjoy it to the maximum and give the Dutch fans a good show.”
#98 JOSE ANTONIO RUEDA
“I’m very pleased with the work we’re all doing and the direction we’ve taken in the last few races. We’ve had a very positive weekend, so I’ll try to repeat or improve on that in Assen over these next few days. This is a circuit I really like -although perhaps not as much as Brno-, and I think we can do well in the Netherlands. It’s a Grand Prix that’s always exciting. We want to finish the double-header by extending our current streak, so we’re going to go for it from the start.”
